2 months of pictures!!

It's been awhile since I've posted my daily phone pictures and love looking at them again!  There are a lot of fun odds and ends in this blog.

Tyler has soccer every Tuesday morning while Chelsea is at Preschool.  I like to take Tyler to Chili's to get lunch after soccer for some Mama / Tyler time.  I love the food plus kids eat free on Tuesdays!  The same server always takes care of us. After a couple of weeks she brought Tyler a free app of Chips and Queso.  Tyler was one happy boy with all the food options surrounding him!  I was one happy mama to have received a kids meal, queso and my meal for only $10 :)

Ben's company holiday party was held Late January this year.  We were very excited to have a few hours out sans kiddos!

Chelsea wanted to be in a picture!

Here comes Tyler!

After Chelsea's 4 year check up we went out to Culver's for lunch.  The kiddos fully enjoyed all the goodies culvers had to offer!

My fur baby :)  We bought a nice comphy dog bed for Mina that is in the living room.  She rarely uses it and prefers the folded up fleece blankets!

When I need the kiddos distracted I take out the playdoh.  The kiddos are usually distracted for a good half an hour when the playdoh is out.  Afterwards, they always beg me to wipe down the table and chairs.  Who am I to complain?!

Just a boy and his popcorn :)

Chelsea is required to wear a full face of make up for her dance rehearsal and recital.  Anyone who knows me knows I rarely wear make up.  I'm pretty sure all the make up I do own is expired by now.  So I purchased $40 of stage make up through the studio for Chelsea and freaked out about having to apply it to her and make it look good.  This was our practice round.  Not too bad!  BUT - she HATES the lipstick.  She says it feels icky.  I really hate forcing my 4 year old to wear make up.  She also disliked every second of me getting her ready for her dance pictures.  I'm thinking that Chelsea taking dance is not in our future after this year!

Daddy Chelsea snuggle time!

We went on vacation to Palm Desert the first week of March.  We missed some very cold weather in Minnesota while we were gone.  Once we got home the weather warmed up and we were blessed to be able to easily play outside for a few days.

Chelsea loved the sunshine!

Time for a ride!

We have moved Tyler downstairs into his new room.  We are still in the process of decorating and finishing the room.  The transition has been seamless thus far!

Tyler LOVES both Cars movies.  He calls it Trucks :)

A picture of Tyler fully enjoying daddy's birthday cake!  Ben's birthday is March 14th and I let the kiddos pick out a cake for him at Cub.  They may have enjoyed eating it ALMOST as much as daddy :)

Chelsea and Tyler LOVE popcorn.  Pouring the popcorn into single serve bowls wasn't an option any more after they would fight over who got to hold the bag.  I then discovered single serve popcorn bags!  These are a life savior for us :)

Cheese Mama!  Play time while Chelsea is in dance class.

Ben brushing Mina after giving her a bath!  Quality Daddy / Mina time!

Pictures are out of order, like usual! Chelsea at Culvers enjoying both her and Tyler's ice cream sundaes!  Tyler isn't a big fan of ice cream.

Chelsea loving a birthday gift her friend Izzy gave her!

My picky eater gobbling up his grapefruit!  If I want to eat grapefruit I have to cut up 2 or 3 at one sitting because my kiddos sneak in and eat mine!

Tyler really enjoys putting together puzzles.  It's one of the only times I see him focused.  We obviously have to help him with the puzzles, but he is really getting the hang of it!

We like to bring the kiddos to the MOA on Sundays that we have no plans.  It's fun to putz around with the kids, enjoy a few rides and go out to eat.  Chelsea and Tyler really like riding on this carousal.

Tyler has ECFE on Thursday mornings.  I brought Chelsea to ECFE classes because I thought it was good for her but never really enjoyed them for myself.  I am really enjoying this ECFE class.  The teachers are amazing, the group of parents are laid back and Tyler is thriving in class.  This class is helping both of us and I've seen some great strides in Tyler because of it.

I took this picture after class one day.  He was so proud of his painting that he would NOT let it go.  He held onto his artwork for at least an hour after leaving class.

My kiddos gobbling up their strawberries!  I'm looking forward to summer when prices on berries drop because Chelsea and Tyler can't get enough!

Ben and Chelsea before the Daddy / Daughter dance at the Plymouth Lifetime!

Tyler snuck into a picture!

Chelsea blow drying her hair after her swim lesson!

We finished our unfinished room in the basement.  It looks beautiful and we are planning on making it into a media room!  I can't wait to see the final result!

Reminder...  My pictures tend to download out of order ;)  Outdoor play time during this beautiful March day!

Chelsea, Tyler and I met my parents at a buffet in St. Cloud for lunch.  I love bringing Chelsea and Tyler to buffets.  Its fun to put different foods in front of them and see what they eat

Dessert time!

On the way out of lunch we played the claw game and won two balls!

I took Chelsea to Twelve Dancing Princesses at the Stages theater in Hopkins a couple weeks ago.  We both loved the musical and the half day we got to spend just the two of us.  I purposely left my phone in the car during the musical so I couldn't be distracted away from giving Chelsea my full attention.  With that said, I didn't get any pictures while at the musical, but did take a picture of our ticket stubs!

I took Chelsea to Chili's (yep, I love Chili's!) after the musical.  I let her order anything she wanted because it was a special day.  She ordered a grilled cheese with corn and sprite.  She also wanted hot pretzels with cheese dip for an appetizer.  Our little table was overflowing with food and I had one happy little girl as my date!

Uncle Steve came to visit us for Ben's birthday weekend.  We hired a sitter for a few hours and went to Pittsburgh Blue for a nice adult only dinner on Ben's actual Birthday.  It's the second year in a row that we've celebrated Ben's birthday at Pittsburgh Blue with Steve and I'm pretty sure this will be a tradition from here on out!

Since we were planning on going out to dinner on Saturday I let the kiddos pick out a birthday cake for Ben on Friday.  They agreed on a little chocolate cake with white and blue frosting.  Steve and I don't prefer to eat cake so this cake was a perfect size for the three of them to have two slices each!

Yum!

Ben at Pittsburgh Blue ready to enjoy his Birthday Dessert!

Chelsea at an arcade showing me the loot she won!  She was very proud of these little rubber ducks.  She won them all on her own in a claw machine.

The kiddos ready to help mom make a cake!

When you make a box cake by yourself the prep takes 5 minutes.  When you make a box cake with two young kiddos the prep time takes 30 minutes BUT is well worth it!  I had to divvy up each of the ingredients in two separate bowls so each kid could put the ingredients in.  It worked well and we had no fights over who got to do what!

We have been working with Tyler on saying "my turn" instead of just taking what he wants from whomever he wants.  It worked really well.  I would mix the batter for a bit and then had Chelsea say "my turn" and mix the cake for awhile then Tyler would say "my turn" and then mix the cake.

A video of Tyler mixing the batter.  His smile is so genuinely huge!  LOVE

Of course I had to let the kiddos try the batter before I baked it!

Frosting Time!

Yummy Frosting!

Sprinkles time!

Ta Da!  The finished product!

Of course they had to try the final product

Chelsea woke us up at 3AM Monday morning sick to her stomach.  We were up with her from 3am on.  She stopped vomiting mid morning Monday but was still in pain and didn't eat anything the entire day.  She woke up happy and healthy this morning thank goodness!

Chelsea finally fell asleep on the couch around 10am Monday after being up at 3AM sick..

My precious angle

Today was an absolutely beautiful Minnesota spring day and Tyler and I (Chelsea was at school) took full advantage of it!  We went on a long walk after lunch and he fell asleep towards the end.  Since he was sleeping I just kept on walking and walking and walking!  I didn't even care that I was missing out of my 'free time' of him napping in the crib because I was thoroughly enjoying the fresh air and soaking up that glorious vitamin D!

Ben and I got new phones this past weekend.  In going through my phone I realized that I haven't posted a bunch of fun videos I've taken on my phone.  So here they are!  ENJOY!

Tyler is a very regimented child.  He loves to run up and down the chairs at Dancing on Broadway while Chelsea is in dance class.  He runs up and down them for a good ten to fifteen minutes every week!
