Tyler's Birthday!

I'm going to post lots of 'shorter' blogs from Tyler's hospital stay and first days at home. We are blessed to have gotten lots of pictures and have had (and still will have) lots of visitors to document! So, Check back frequently because I will be getting blogs posted randomly through out the next few days.

I don't have a long birth story since his birth was very routine (thank goodness!) We had a C Section scheduled for 9:30 AM on Monday November 19th. Thankfully he decided to wait until Monday and didn't try and make an appearance any earlier. The surgery was an obvious success with no issues or complications along the way. Once I was in recovery and Tyler was fully checked over they brought us back to the post partum room that we would spend the next three days in. It was a nice change compared to our experience with Chelsea. She wasn't able to stay with us in our room until the last day. here is her birth story blog if you would like to read it.

We delivered Tyler at the Maple Grove Hospital. First day Photo comes around to the rooms asking if you'd like some professional photographs taken. We took them up on it because of how convenient it was. The pictures ended up just OK in my opinion.

Tyler is a big fan of being swaddled and covered up so soon as we took his clothes off of him he started to fuss a lot and didn't cooperate for the pictures. Once we put some jammers on him he tolerated the pictures better.

Tyler Joel Fisher!

Tyler Joel Fisher was born at 9:49AM Monday November 19th. He is 8 pounds 3 ounces, 20 inches long, healthy and a very good baby so far!!

We just started getting settled in at home so I am going to keep this blog as a short 'announcement' blog. I will post more blogs with more details and LOTS more pictures that we took on our camera in the hospital through out the week.

The pictures on this blog are some that were taken with my phone.

37 weeks

I just had my 37 week appointment today and met the doctor who will actually be delivering baby boy Fisher! I love my regular doctor, but she only delivers at Methodist Hospital and we want to deliver at Maple Grove. My new doctor is very perky and friendly. I am very comfortable with her.

The 'stats' are pretty boring this week... which is a great thing! No weight gain... which I guess is normal at this point in the pregnancy. With Chelsea I must have strapped on the feed bag a little too much during this point of the pregnancy because I NEVER went an appointment without gaining weight :) Blood pressure was 107 / 60 and I have NOT dilated or effaced any further from last week. THANK GOODNESS!!! Looks like baby boy is trying to stay put for the next two weeks.

The only difference of this week's appointment is that I'm still measuring at 37 (same as last week) and my doc said it's completely normal since the baby has probably dropped a little further down. She is thinking that the baby is an average size... not trending big like my other doctor was assuming.

I didn't take any 'official' 37 week belly shots but will post a picture from this past weekend. I haven't changed much from last week.

Jon and Shanna wedding weekend

Ben's brother Jon got married this weekend! The rehearsal dinner was at the Marriott in Brooklyn Park on Friday and the wedding was at the Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake on Saturday. It was a very fun and busy weekend that absolutely flew by! The wedding was gorgeous and the couple is absolutely perfect for each other :)

I took lots and lots of pictures of family and friends, but am not going to post a lot of them since there are over 150 pictures. Most of the pictures will be of our immediate family.

Chelsea attended all the festivities and was a trooper. She was so much fun and definitely enjoyed hamming it up for family and friends through out the weekend. We are so blessed to have such a social and happy daughter.

Ben was the Best Man in the wedding so he wasn't around the entire time to help me out with Chelsea but did as much as he could. My body took a beating trying to keep up with her (have you tried to bend over much less control a 21 month old in a hectic environment who doesn't stop while 37 weeks pregnant?!?), but I made it through in one piece and without going into labor. A win win in my book!
