Chelsea's 1st Birthday Party!

Here are lots of pictures from Chelsea's 1st Birthday party! We were so fortunate to have lots of friends and family attend. We wanted to invite everyone we knew, but couldn't handle any more people in our home :) Next year we will have her party OUT of the house!

I was the caterer and made a very kid friendly menu. It was fun to not worry about making fancy, healthy or "pretty" foods for once. We served sloppy joes, mac n cheese, tator tots, veggies / dip, texas caviar / guacamole and chips, animal crackers and goldfish crackers. I made way too much food, but was fortunate enough to have people offer to take some home so it wouldn't go to waste.

We decided on a zoo animal theme. It's tough to pick out a theme for a one year old. I REALLY wanted to throw a princess party, but thought that Chelsea will be asking for one of those in the near future. She really loves our dogs and her animal board books. Mommy loves animals too, so it was a win win :)

We set up Ben's ping pong room downstairs as a kiddo play room. We had 12 kids (ages 2 months - 10) here. The play room seemed to be a great hit and watching all the kids play together was the highlight of the party for me. Chelsea and her friends had a lot of fun playing :) Unfortunately we didn't get many pictures of the kids in the playroom in use :( IF you were at Chelsea's party and have any PLEASE send them my way!

Chelsea has her 1 year doctor appointment tomorrow. Sometime after her appointment I'll write a blog with her "stats" and one year accomplishments and such.

The first few pictures loaded small in size and I'm not sure how to make them bigger.  The majority of the pictures are easier to see.
