Here is a short video of Chelsea crawling towards her favorite little plush toy :-) She has been so close to crawling for the past couple of weeks but decided today that she was going to go for it!! I am such a proud mom right now!

For the Love of Books!
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to read. Reading is my number one way to relax and unwind from my normally hectic days. There isn't much I like better than relaxing in a bubble bath and immersing myself in whichever book I happened to stumble upon at that moment. Now days that scenario is a pure luxury (because of the cute little demanding baby in our household) but I will always read for at least a few minutes before going to bed. I have resisted purchasing a Nook or whatever they are called to read electronically. I don't think I ever will.. nothing compares to the feel of a real book in my hands. the more beat up the better to me! If you ever borrow a book of mine go ahead and dog ear pages and don't worry about rips, stains and what not. Books are meant to be read and used.... Every little mark on a book shows love and is proof of someone losing himself into an unknown story.
Anyways... now for the real reason for this blog post. I am constantly asked for book recommendations so I thought I would list out some of my favorite books in a blog for those of you who love to read as I do. I love a wide range of books from mentally stimulating and quick light no brainers. My list isn't going to be complete because I have read so many different books that I have forgotten about, but here are some I've read in the past year or two that have stood out to me for one reason or another. you may not have the same taste in fiction (or non fiction!) as I do, but I'm sure there is something on this list that you will LOVE! I have about 20 books on my library request list that I haven't gotten to yet, but I am ALWAYS looking for new recommendations. If you have any please send them my way and I will add it to the list if I haven't read it!
Many of the books have been made into movies... I have only seen a handful of those movies. Usually the movie never does the book justice (in my mind).
NONFICTION
Into the Wild - Jon Krakauer
Into Thin Air - Jon Krakauer
K2: Life & Death on the World's Most Dangerous Mountain - Ed Viesturs

Great Grandparents!
I have to post a special blog for two very important people... Great Grandma and Grandpa Fisher! Ben, Chelsea, Becky, Seth, Audrey and I were fortunate enough to go over to Great Grandma and Grandpa's for lunch on Sunday. We are so happy that they had a chance to spend some time with both grandchildren and great grandchildren! We enjoyed our visit and ate very well over there :-)
Seth and Audrey also had a chance to drive Ben's boat! Ben had so much fun teaching them to drive the boat and taking them tubing. At this rate Ben will probably have Chelsea driving the boat by the time she is 4!
