Fun Video!

Chelsea has discovered how to actually jump in her rainforest bouncer now! She just started going nuts in it today and had so much fun!  we really enjoyed watching her and I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.  She starts off slow (well, the first twenty seconds) in the video and then shows off :-)  ENJOY!

Videos of Chelsea's first time eating rice cereal!

We gave Chelsea her first taste of "solid" foods tonight and it went well!  The first video link is her first spoonfuls of the cereal.  She is pretty mellow during the feeding.  The second video link starts about half way through her eating the cereal and she is REALLY talkative and loving it. she gets a tad bit worked up towards the end though. It's a really fun video to watch!!!

 ENJOY :-)

4 Months Old!

Time is flying... our baby girl is now 4 months old!  She is turning into such a little human now and is so fun to watch / play with.  Any time she is put down on the ground she immediately rolls over to her belly like someone lit a fire under her booty.  She is constantly trying to move and talks almost non stop.  We have our hands full!

She just had her 4 month appointment which included vaccinations.  She was NOT a happy camper during the vaccinations but got over the pain pretty quickly when Ben gave her a bottle immediately afterwards.  She is now sleeping peacefully in her car seat.  I hope she wakes up happy and not cranky from pain.  Chelsea is now 14 pounds 6 ounces and 25 inches long.  That puts her in the 75th percentile for her age.  The doc said she looks very healthy.  She also gave us the go ahead to start her on some rice cereal.  Time for the solid food mess to start!

Before her vaccinations

A quick feed to help her forget about her vaccinations!

Video of Chelsea talking, laughing and tooting :)

A must see video!  Our baby girl is so incredibly "talkative" nowadays, it's so fun to listen to.  She even growls like the dogs.... I think they are hanging out too much!  The 2 minute point in the video is the best.....  I apologize for the slight fuzziness of the video.  I must have had the camera set on the wrom setting.  Enjoy!

Chelsea's new playroom!

I'm converting my office into an office / playroom for Chelsea.   It's still a work in progress but is really coming together nicely!  Chelsea is officially taking over our entire house now :)

Rolling Around!

Our baby girl has really progressed A LOT in the past couple days!  She rolled over for the first time from her back to her tummy on Tuesday!  We were so excited and it was so fun to see!  well... it still IS fun to see, but it is really testing us.  All Chelsea wants to do now is roll over onto her tummy.  Normally this would be awesome news, but she hasn't quite figured out how to roll back to her back and gets "stuck" on her tummy.  It's really scary to Ben and I because she does this in her crib and we really need to pay attention to her when she's waking up so she doesn't get stuck on her belly and faceplant.  I have been working with her today on rolling from tummy to back and she's done it a couple times on her own, but still prefers to be on her belly.

Chelsea is also starting to laugh a lot!  She would randomly have short giggles before, but this week we can really tell she is laughing.  Her laugh is the most precious sound I have ever heard and our hearts just melt when she "gets going" with her laughs.

Here are a couple pictures of her progressing to her tummy.  Unfortunately I am slow with technology and don't know how to use our video camera.  Hopefully this weekend Ben will take a video of her rolling around and we will post it.

Smiles!

My first mother's day gift!

Happy (Early) Mother's Day to all you mom's out there!  Look at the first ever Mother's Day gift that Chelsea made me.  Her Daycare teacher gave it to me this morning and I'm thinking Chelsea is either one talented baby or had A LOT of help :)

Chelsea also hit a big milestone this week!  She rolled over!!  We are excited about it, but sort of frusterated as well.  She rolled over (from tummy to back) twice on her own on Monday, but has yet to do it again :(  It's almost like she wanted to prove to me that she could do it but is telling me that she is going to keep doing it only when she feels like it.  She is a stubborn girl ... she must get that from her mommy.

Our little angel is definitely teething now as well.  She is constantly, and I mean constantly, chewing on her fists, teeting toys, mom's shoulder and anything else she can get her mouth on.  Daycare noticed this as well and mentioned that it's definitely teething.  I feel bad for my baby girl because it seems as if her gums are really bothering her.  I will post some pictures below... she was in the middle of chewing on her fists and just passed out on the couch...She looks so peaceful when she sleeps... it's like she finally got some "relief".

I have two more fun pictures to post.  Let's just say that Ben was a little bored and got a hold of the baby, a sweatshirt and the camera.....
