Snuggle Bum!

Tyler was so cuddly this night... he fell asleep drinking his bottle and snuggled right into me :)

Not a snuggly picture, but a cute one!  Tyler has taken to the baby carrier.  I rarely used it with Chelsea, but Tyler is a very happy camper being carried around :)

Another picture of my snuggle bum!

AND - another one!

Jewelry!

My neighbor, Molly, dropped off an old jewelry box and kiddo jewelry from when her daughter was younger.  Chelsea went nuts over it!  She immediately opened it up and started putting on every single piece of jewelry.  The entire time she was squealing phrases like "princess" and "I lub it"!  What a wonderfully thoughtful and special gift.

A Princess in the making!

Chelsea is living out every little girls' dream of being a princess!  She loves girly girly clothes, accessories and movies!  It's a definite fight to get any outfit on her that isn't a tutu or dress.  She asks to wear leggings, necklaces, bracelets, sunglasses and bows every morning.  For now, this is very cute.  As long as my little princess keeps her actions more tomboyish it doesn't bother me that she wants to look like a princess :)

A dance leotard that she would wear every day if she was allowed!

Her first Barbie.  A princess!

She loves the princess crown!

Someone went into mama's jewelry box to get a necklace!

Another outfit of choice... you'd never know we lived in cold MN :)

She had to wear two hair clips!

Ari's bday at the MOA

Our niece Ari celebrated her 4th birthday at Nickelodeon Land at the MOA.  We had a great time seeing family, Chelsea absolutely loves being around her cousins and Tyler got lots of attention and snuggles!

We decided to dust off the double stroller and make Tyler 'sit' like a big boy instead of all nestled in his car seat.  Both kids LOVED the stroller and behaved very well.  Chelsea wanted to sit in it because Tyler was next to her and Tyler had so much to look at and take in that he was entertained.

We arrived at the MOA about a half an hour before my family so we took Chelsea to the Disney Store.   She decided she had to have mermaid sunglasses!  She wouldn't take them off so Ben had to grab a different pair off of the shelf to go pay for them.

Chelsea kept taking my necklaces and wanting to wear them around the house.  We swung into Clairs and bought her her first bracelet and necklace set!  She was very very happy!

Ari is here!

Big hug from Alayna!

Tyler is happy to be in Alyssa's arms!

Chelsea and Ari ran around holding hands.  It was so darn cute!

Tyler's heaven!

After a few hours of running around, rides and a big lunch at the food court Chelsea was wiped out!

Chelsea wearing her sunglasses and jewelry when we got home.  What a little 'diva'!

dry bean scensory toy!

We were over at my friend Andi's house for a play date a couple weeks ago and she has different Tupperware containers filled with 'scensory' experiences for Maddie.  Chelsea really enjoyed playing with the dry beans and it kept her focused in one spot for awhile :)

That afternoon I went to Target and bought some dry beans, little Tupperware containers and assembled her one just like Maddie's.  Since I took these pictures I've added little 'trinket toys' as well.  Chelsea will ask me to 'play with beans!' several times per day.  This is a great idea for anyone with toddlers!

Rice cereal!

Both kiddos are in bed sleeping peacefully, my stomach hurts (yeah, food issues, once again!) and I'm sleepy.  You'd think I would be logical here and go to bed.  Nope... I'm feeling such a strong love for my kiddos tonight that I wanted to write a blog before laying down and letting my body 'heal'.  My love for my kids is so strong, but there are certain days that I just dont' want to be away from them.  Tonight is one of those nights.  I am so very blessed.

We gave Tyler rice cereal for the first time yesterday.  He did very well with the spoon!  At first he wasn't too sure of it, but ended up eating almost all of it!  It's a little more difficult to focus on Tyler's firsts because we have a cute little toddler running around trying to participate along with us.  I let Chelsea feed him a couple spoonfuls and she really enjoyed being part of the experience!

What is this mom?!

What is daddy making me do?!

hmm...

We had to tilt the spoon up so he could figure out how to eat the cereal!

Mom's turn!

Chelsea sat in her booster seat and watched :)

Time to let Chelsea help!

Here are some short, cute videos of the experience!
