Fun Fun!

Chelsea really enjoys going on walks with her dolly.  Dolly is Chelsea's sidekick and is rarely out of sight.  I feed Tyler, Chelsea feeds Dolly, I put Tyler in the jumper, Chelsea wants to put Dolly in the jumper, I walk Tyler in the stroller, Chelsea wants to walk Dolly in her stroller.  I think you get the idea!

I usually like to get a nice long walk in after breakfast every day.  In order for me to get my walk in, Chelsea has to sit in the stroller.  I've been making more of an effort to take Chelsea out for a leisurely walk in the afternoons so she can walk Dolly and pick 'flowers' along the way.  It's one of her favorite things to do!

Chelsea's off and running!

In this picture she is running at full speed and squealing very loudly!

Chelsea finally stopped so we could catch up

Off she goes again!

Chelsea likes to pick 'flowers' during our walks.  She is very proud of them!!

A couple weeks ago I took a Momma / Chelsea Day.  This is a random picture I pulled from my phone of her playing at a park that day!  Usually parks are a cringe worthy activity for me when I'm alone with both kids.  Tyler is crawling and won't just sit on a blanket anymore. Next year we should be 'golden' for going to and playing at parks!

We went to a BBQ a couple weekends ago right after Tyler started crawling.  This was our way of keeping him enclosed and safe!

This is a picture of Ben and I at his company summer party two weekends ago.

My little diva... she picked out her outfit this day!

I was shopping at Arbor Lakes and walked by Pottery Barn kids.  They had this cute mermaid chair in the window!  I immediately went in to see if they sold just the cover since my parents have already bought Chelsea a chair from pottery barn.  The chair was actually on sale and as the last one the store had in stock.  The sales associate was willing to take the cover off the chair and sell it to me!!  Plus, I got an extra discount on the cover since it was a floor model.  This chair looks great in Chelsea's mermaid room and she LOVES IT!

July 4th Staycation!

I can't remember the last time we've had a 5 day span that Ben hasn't had to work and we've stayed in town.  Usually we go to the cabin or travel elsewhere when he has a long break from work.  We decided to stay in town this year over the 4th of July holiday and had an absolutely wonderful time.

We didn't have to sit in traffic, spend a day packing up, unpacking, rushing here and there, etc.  We spent so much quality family time together and enjoyed some R & R.  It's almost impossible for me to put into words how wonderful this staycation was!

We went to a party on the 4th during the day, spent two mornings at the Plymouth Lifetime pool, hung out a lot in our backyard, went out to eat, saw some friends, and so on. I even had a couple chances to drink a fruity cocktail on the deck while reading my book with no interruptions.  That doesn't happen too often!

I didn't take too many pictures of our outings, but tried to capture a lot of what we did.  Unfortunately I did NOT take any of the party we attended on the 4th :(

At the Plymouth Lifetime pool!

This is the first time we tried this type of lifejacket (my mind is blanking on the name!) on Chelsea.  One of my mom's club friends told me about it and I'm so glad I went out and purchased one.  It's so much easier to take chelsea swimming now.  She can basically 'swim' on her own now!  It took her about five minutes to become comfortable and really enjoyed her new found freedom!

Lunch out after the club!

Tyler's first time sitting in a shopping cart!  He wasn't very happy until ben handed him his lip balm

Back at the lifetime pool!

We ran into one of my mom's club friends at the pool.  Shawna's daughter Katelyn is a little over a year older than Chelsea.  They had such a good time playing together!

chelsea was NOT happy about having to get out of the pool during the lifeguard check.  She had a major tantrum and all eyes were on us for a few minutes!

We finally convinced her to get some lunch with daddy during the break
