State Fair!

We took the kiddos to the State Fair this past Saturday.  Knowing it was going to be a very hot day we went first thing in the AM.  We ended up getting to the fair around 9am and having to leave around noon because of the heat.  Even though we would have liked more time at the Fair, we had a great time!  Maybe next year we'll be able to stay longer.

On the bus headed to the State Fair!

Our first stop was at the Miracle of Birth Center.  Both Chelsea and I LOVED it!  This was, by far, my favorite part.  We saw several day old calfs, a cow in labor (and then saw the beginning of the actual delivery process on our way out), and a lamb that was born just five minutes prior to us getting there!

Piggies!

The sheep and a baby lambs!

So cute!

A two day old calf (bull).

Several of the baby animals were being held for us to pet!  It was so wonderful to be able to touch the babies and to see Chelsea pet them all.

this lamb was five minutes old here!  The mom was cleaning her and nurturing her right away.  It was such a wonderful moment to see.

Chelsea very excited to see the goats!

Chicks hatching!

A piglet sprawled out next to mommy!

So cute!  this little guy was my favorite!

Checking out the DNR pond!

Tyler was also excited!

Chelsea sticking her head through the wrong way!

Sleepy time!

Chelsea went down the big slide with daddy!

Fun!

Can we go again daddy?!

Tyler zonked out for the majority of the time we were there

Since it was so hot out we thought it appropriate for Chelsea's first Fair 'food' to be a slushy

Num Num Num!

Chelsea normally doesn't like rides.  She really wanted to go on this bumper boat ride so we bought a few tickets and crossed our fingers it would be a success.  She LOVED driving the boat!  It was a huge success!

Aren't we a good looking family? :)

Ben had to pose with Miranda as well :)

Good Girl Chelsea!

On our way out. LOTS of people!

Since we only brought our single stroller we put Chelsea in it for a bit since she was tired and Tyler is easier to carry.

The stroller ride lulled her to sleep.  We transferred her to the bus and then into the car without her waking up!

Fun times!

Random!

In typical Trisha blogging fashion, here are a bunch of random phone photos!

Chelsea has been obsessed with birthdays lately.  Any time she sees cake, pizza or gets something new she says it's someone's birthday.  It was  Molly's 10th birthday last week.  Chelsea was so excited that we were 'celebrating' Molly's birthday that she insisted on making her a birthday cake!

Last time we were at the cabin we saw a HUGE Muskie hanging out only a few inches below the water by our boat lift.  Ben and Steve estimated it to be 46 inches.  It was pretty much the coolest thing I have ever seen.  Unfortunately we did not have a camera to capture the moment.  Uncle Steve sent us these pictures this week!  The Muskie came back! The pictures don't really do this massive fish justice, but you'll get the idea!

The fish just below the surface.  The entire body of the fish did not fit into the frame!

The fish swimming away at a distance!

Double seater carts are becoming the norm now!

Hanging onto mommy's new water bottles!

Chelsea wasn't feeling very good a couple days this past week.  In this picture she was all snuggled up on the couch watching her favorite movie; The Little Mermaid!

Chelsea loved my new water bottles and kept insisting on drinking ONLY out of my water bottle.  She is now a proud owner of two kid sized water bottles :)

This is what happens when you let a girly girl loose in her closet full of accessories!  I normally keep her closet locked so she can't get in it.  Now you can see why!

Eating lunch at the Plymouth Lifetime Fitness cafe.  Yummy!

What a good looking kids meal!
