Girls' Weekend in Colorado!

In July some of my girlfriends and I flew out to visit our friend, Josie, who lives there.  She lives in Morrison right in the foothills.  Her location and view is absolutely amazing.  It was so fun to take girls weekend out of state!

Amanda and I flew out on the same flight.  After an early morning with some annoying flight delays we finally made it to Denver!

The view from Josie's backyard.  Breathtaking!

The girls (minus Burnsy)!

At a wine bar in Golden, CO!

Happy Hour at the pool!  I HAD to drink a few Coors next to the Rockies!

Burnsy made it!

Ready for dinner!

Heading out for a hike!

Beautiful!

Of course, my pictures are out of order.  This is a pic from our dinner out!

Back to the hike!

I was enjoying reading a book, enjoying a Coors with this beautiful view during some downtime.  Could life get any better?!

We had preplanned to go to a wine and jazz festival in Keystone while we were on Girls' Weekend.  Little did we know that Mark, Josie's husband, secured us a limo bus and driver to take us there and back!  The traffic was pretty horrible on the way so it was a very FUN life savior!  THANK YOU MARK!

We made a quick stop at Loveland Pass on our way!

The wine festival was so much fun!  We paid $60 and received food tickets, a wine glass to take home and all the wine / booze samples that our hearts desired!

Burnsy enjoying a scotch

We had fun taking polaroid pictures on our trip.  I still have six on my fridge!

One last hike before we had to leave!

Back to the wine festival... you are getting used to my pictures being out of order by now, right?!

Colorado Visitors!

I'm WAY behind on my blogs.  So far behind I was debating whether I should just skip posting the pictures from the past couple of months but decided against it.  Ben and I love to look back on blogs and I know many long distance family members like the blogs as well.  With that said, I am going to 'catch up' on blogs but won't be writing as much in the bodies of them.  Once I've caught up I will be more detailed in my writing.

One of my closest friends, Josie, lives in Colorado.  She came to visit me with her kiddos on a weekend that Ben was visiting his brother in Colorado.  I really wish we lived closer so we could get together and we could get our families together more.  We had a great time and hopefully we can get out there next spring to visit!

These pictures were taken the day before Josie and kiddos came.  I was enjoying a relaxing beer while Tyler filled the kiddie pool!

Josie and kiddos came Friday morning.  The kiddos immediately discovered the fruit loops and everyone dug in!

Outdoor play time!

Nature walk time!

Mark, Josie's husband, sent us an edible arrangement!  What a thoughtful thing to do!

The kiddos immediately dug in!

Brady and I enjoyed a game of Peek A Boo!

Tired and snuggly kiddos!

outdoor time!

Tyler and Brady playing with the Ken dolls I bought them for the kiddie pool!

My sleepy girl!

We went to the lifetime pool Saturday morning!

My friend Katie came to visit Saturday afternoon.  Katie was 37 weeks pregnant during this visit and now is a mom to a beautiful happy baby boy!

Snack time!

Chelsea, Tyler and I met my parents at a Dairy Queen in St. Cloud the next week.  They took Mina for us to dog sit for the next weekend.  The kiddos definitely enjoyed their afternoon ice cream snacks!

Since we were already in St. Cloud and I wanted the kiddos to stretch their legs a big before the drive home we went shopping for a first day of school outfit for Chelsea.  After shopping I drove by a Pizza Ranch and decided to stop there for dinner.  We don't have a Pizza Ranch near us so it was a fun treat!  The kiddos REALLY enjoyed themselves!

Chelsea was teaching Tyler how to knuckle bump!

The kiddos get really excited at buffets because I put a ton of food in front of them and let them eat whatever they want!  Both kids love pizza!
