Saved the best pictures for last!

One last blog about Vacation :)  The resort offered a free 15 minute photo session.  With that session, we were not obligated to buy any pictures and could have one free! Since it's so difficult to get decent pictures of the two of us on vacation we took advantage of the photo session.  We loved the pictures so much that we not only took our free one, but bought three more as well!  Below are the pictures...

Ben wanted to go out on the beach at sunset one night to test out his picture taking skills.  We took some pictures  before dinner on the last night we were there.  Here are those pictures...

Fun in the sun!

For the majority of our vacation in Cabo we layed out in the sun and played lots of sand volleyball.  Our goal was to relax as much as possible and we definitely accomplished that!  There were lots of recliner chairs, comphy bed like loungers, and beach areas to relax on.  We never had a problem finding somewhere to bask :)  I read two books while on vacation and was wishing for another one!

Every day the resort offered organized volleyball at 11am and 4pm.   Volleyball was a lot of fun and we met some really nice people playing.  It was fun to go to the courts and see familiar faces every day!

Pool & Relaxation pictures!  Ignore my ugly sunglasses.  I forgot mine at home so bought these for $12 in the resort store!

Food, Food, Drinks and More food in Cabo!

For people that like to eat as much as Ben and I do this vacation was DANGEROUS!  For starters, we stayed at an all inclusive resort.  That means, you can pretty much find something to eat at any time of day and not have to pay a cent for it. If we decided our first lunch didn't fill us up, we could go eat a second lunch!  Or, if I would have one too many glasses of champagne and decide that I was hungry two hours after eating a huge dinner, I could easily find a platter of sandwiches to graze on in one of the bars!

There were two restaurants serving buffet style meals all through out the day.  We usually ate in the "main restaurant" for breakfast, the beach side restaurant for lunch and then either the main restaurant or one of the specialty restaurants for dinner.  The resort had 6 specialty restaurants that were included with our stay.  we could make reservations for three of the nights at three of the restaurants.  We ate at the steak house, the Japanese restaurant and the Italian restaurant.

At each of these specialty restaurants you could order as many courses of food as you'd like.  We usually ordered three courses each and one night had dessert as well.  It was such a nice change in routine to dress up and eat some non buffet style food.

At the Steakhouse.  We call this our champagne and scotch night.  Without asking the server continued to 'refill' our drinks through out the entire dinner.  That made for a rough next morning :)

The guac was amazing!  I couldn't get enough!

I wasn't so sure about this dish... Oxtail soup???

Ben's hearty steak dinner!

We met a canadian couple after dinner that took this picture for us

Japanese restaurant

California rolls.  I'm not very adventurous with sushi!

Ben's spicy tuna rolls

Italian restaurant.  Mussels!

A random fancy salad :)

A to die for pasta dish!  There was bacon in my pasta! yummy!

Ben's steak dinner.

Ben's desserts.  Unfortunately I said no to trying them because of my stupid milk allergy :(

First REAL spa experience... in CABO!!

Ben and I just got back from a wonderfully relaxing vacation in Cabo!  Grandma and Grandpa Fisher generously stayed with Chelsea while we had the opportunity to go on vacation sans baby.  I'm going to write several blogs about vacation so they aren't so long.  This blog will show pictures of the actual resort and the spa.

We stayed in the Barcelo in LosCabos, Mexico.  The Barcelo is a beautiful all inclusive resort.  We were both VERY happy with the resort an would definitely vacation there again.  Below are some scenery shots of the resort...

The bar at the main pool

The resort was very spacious.  It was very easy to find a comfortable spot to sit at any time of day!

The main pool area.  There is an adult pool and kid pool as well.

The adult pool area.  We spent most of our time relaxing / sunning here.

View down from the balcony of our room.  The first floor rooms go directly out to a swim up pool.  They looked nice, but I'd much rather have a traditional (more private) balcony to read on

Our room was very nice.  All the rooms are "suites" and have a "smart tv."  We had free internet, could turn off the lights, request services, close the blinds and whatnot all thru the TV.  The bathroom was very spacious and all in all, the room was very cozy.

One of my favorite parts of vacation were the spa experiences!  We both got massages on the second day.  With a service you can use the hydro circuit for the rest of the day.  The hydro circuit was amazing!  I really felt as if I were in one of the spas that you only see in the movies :)

The circuit consists of a long, narrow warm "bubbly pool", a hot tub, a steam room and a sauna.  There was also a station set up with antioxidant drinks.  One was icewater with orange slices and the other was liquid chlorophyll.    I enjoyed the spa so much that I returned two days later to get a pedicure and used the hydro circuit.  I enjoyed that so much that I returned the next day and payed the $25 to use the hydro circuit as much as I wanted through out the day :)

Below are some pictures from the spa.  I felt weird taking pictures in the zen like atmosphere so they were taken very quickly and hopefully do it a tiny bit of justice.
