Swim Swim!

Our healthclub (lifetime fitness) has been such a great amenity for us.  Even more so now that we have kids!  They have child care (Tyler is only one week away from being able to attend!!), pools, hot tubs, a cafe, a salon as well as the obvious workout classes and equipment.

We decided to get out of the house and take chelsea to the nice warm pool to play on Saturday afternoon.  Tyler has had some pretty dry skin so I didn't want to take him in the chlorine filled pool quite yet.  I decided to sit on the side of the pool with Tyler while Ben swam with Chelsea.  Next time I get to swim with her :)  Tyler was awake in his car seat when we got there and within two minutes of being in the warm, noisy pool area he fell asleep!  I was able to sit, relax and watch Chelsea and daddy have some fun.

Chelsea's 'new' mermaid swimsuit!  I say 'new' because I stumbled upon this at once upon a child for $2.50 and snatched it up immediately!  It looks brand new! what a great find!  Chelsea was so excited to go swimming that she wouldn't stop running around the locker room - that is why the picture is blurry!

Tyler hanging out ready to watch his sister swim!

It's amazing how great chelsea does now in the pool.  She was definitely high energy, but also very cautious at first walking into the water .  It's almost like a 'self preservation' chip has been turned on :)

Chelsea trying to play with another little girl in the pool!

Venturing out further!

Woa!  look at all that water!

Tyler couldn't stay awake :)

Hmm... should I be a good girl and run to daddy who is waiting for me in the pool

Nope, I'm going to take off running towards the lap pool!

Cheese!

learning to kick!  Dad also taught her how to doggy paddle!

So much for the self preservation chip!  Chelsea discovered jumping off the side of the pool and that is ALL she wanted to do at the end of the swim session!  After about 100 jumps, we decided that it was time to go and Chelsea was not a fan of that idea!

Bye Bye pool!  I'll be back soon!
