The Fisher Family!: Memorial Day Weekend

Ben went up to Uncle Steve's cabin (Lake Mina right outside of Alexandria) Friday afternoon. His brother Jon and his fiancee Shanna were there as well.

I stayed in town (with Chelsea) and met my friend Amanda out for dinner Friday. I wasn't too excited about going to a pizza place (old Chicago) but once I discovered the pizza crust has no milk products in it my mood lifted quickly! I enjoyed a cheese less pizza, but a PIZZA (!!!!) for the first time in over a year. I do have to say it was a wonderful dinner that made my belly very happy.

My friend, Josie, was in town visiting for the weekend so I wanted to stay in town an extra day to see her. She had friends over to their hotel pool to hang out on Saturday afternoon for a bit. I was very nervous about how Chelsea would do in a pool area with all the 'dangers' but she was so well behaved!! Chelsea and I headed straight up to the cabin from Josie's gathering on Saturday afternoon. My friend Katie rode up with us since she was visiting one of her friends in Glenwood for the weekend. It was great to have company (of the adult variety!) on the usually lonely drive.

Saturday night at the cabin was pretty cold but everyone seemed to have a good time. Jon and Shanna decided to drive back to the city Sunday AM since the weather was supposed to be beautiful in the city and can be hit or miss at the cabin. We lucked out and had great weather on Sunday!! We spent a lot of time playing outside and on the boat. On Monday we went over to my parents' house and Ben helped my dad and brother put in the docks there. My mom cooked up a feast for us and Chelsea got to play with her cousins for a couple hours! We all had a wonderful weekend!
