Chelsea turned 4 this past Friday! I CAN NOT BELIEVE SHE IS 4!!!!!
Chelsea is such a little sweetie and is growing into a wonderful person. She is such a little pleaser, is very sensitive and loving, thrives at school and is always excited to learn, is always willing to try something new and go with the flow, energetically participates in all activities and loves to love and to be loved. The only complaint I have is that she is such a girly girl so insists on at least two wardrobe changes per day creating LOTS of laundry! :-) How did we get so lucky?!?!?!
Chelsea was very excited on the morning of her birthday showing me how old she is!
Grandma and Grandpa Loveland came to visit the morning of her birthday showering Chelsea with LOTS of presents and took us all out to eat. Chelsea requested pizza so we took them to the Broadway Pizza lunch buffet including a Chocolate sundae!

Chelsea LOVES flowers. Every time she sees flowers in the house she wants to hold one. I usually DON'T let her because I don't want the petals all over the house or the flowers to get ruined. I decided that one of her birthday presents this year would be flowers! We took her to Cub after lunch so she could pick out any bouquet she wanted along with a single rose. Those flowers are hers to do whatever she wants with. Most of the bouquet is still sitting on my center island in a vase, but she did decide to take all the petals off the rose and sprinkle them around on the deck last night so we could 'find our way'. She is so darn cute :)
Chelsea checking out all the flowers. It took her awhile to decide what she wanted!

She even let Tyler hold a couple of the flowers out of the bouquet!
Grandpa snuggle time!
Grandma and Grandpa bought Chelsea lots of cute clothes for her birthday. She wanted to change into her "it's my birthday" shirt for the rest of the day that they gave her.
Chelsea opening a present that her friend Maddie sent to her for her birthday! Maddie knows Chelsea well because the package was FULL of perfect presents and a very cute letter dictated by Maddie written by Andi :-)
Chelsea's cousins sent her a fun sit and spin gift. Both kids love this toy! Tyler took an immediate liking to it and insisted on sitting on it during meals the first day. Anyone who knows Tyler knows that I didn't even try and fight it and just let this potentially dangerous situation run its course :)
The flowers that Chelsea eventually settled on! I downloaded some pics out of order, but I'm pretty sure you are used to that by now :-)
Chelsea posing with her rose. She likes to pose with her hand under her chin lately. Not sure why, but it's pretty darn cute!
My wonderful friend Josie (who lives in Colorado) came to visit us this past weekend with her 4 year old daughter Teagan. This was such a special visit for me. Josie and I have been close friends for A LONG time but we haven't been able to see each other much since we are now in different states and both have young kiddos. To be able to just hang out with her, let the girls play and do 'normal' things together was such a blessing. The girls REALLY hit it off and the visit went by way too quickly. I can't wait for the next time!
Another part of Chelsea's gift from us was to take her to the Barbie Dream house at the MOA. Josie, Teagan, Chelsea and I headed out to the Dream house Saturday morning. I will be posting an entire blog about this next! This is a picture of the girls right before we left posing with their Sophia necklaces. Josie bought the girls matching necklaces and I have a feeling they will both cherish them for a LONG time.
Aren't they so darn cute together?! You would've thought they would have known each other for years, not just a day!
This picture was taken at the beginning of Chelsea's birthday party on Sunday morning. Again, I'll post another blog with just party pictures, but had a couple on my phone to post here. We held it at the Williston Center in Minnetonka. Thank you Kelly for letting me copy Sully's party idea! Chelsea insisted on a pink Barbie party. Of course she picked out her new dance outfit to wear to the party as well :)
Chelsea and Teagan hanging out on the couch together Saturday night
Mama still doesn't know how to French braid, but luckily most of my friends do! Chelsea got wind of Josie knowing how to braid and immediately requested a braid :)
Of course Teagan wanted a braid since Chelsea had a braid!
Ben was out at a concert with a friend Saturday night until late so I let Chelsea sleep with me in bed that night. It was easier to get her to sleep in my bed than hers since she was so worked up with Teagan spending then night. she is so precious...
Sunday morning before heading out to Chelsea's birthday party. Teagan gave Chelsea a gift of a barbie and Sophia card! Perfect! Notice.. They are both wearing their matching necklaces :)
The most obnoxiously pink cake I've ever seen, but also the most perfect cake we could've purchased for Chelsea. And yes, Tyler's poop was pink the next day! ;)
Let the party begin!
