Easter Fun and Lots of Family!

Easter Weekend was such a blessed time for us this year!  Our babysitter Tammy (who is more of a third Grandma than a babysitter!) told us about an egg hunt in Corcoran the Saturday before Easter.  We decided to bring the kiddos and had a great time.  It was such a well run egg hunt and we all had a blast.

On Easter Day we headed up to Alexandria to visit my family.  After we hung out with my family we headed over to say hi to Uncle Steve at Lake Mina and Great Grandma and Grandpa Fisher in Lowry before heading home.  Our hearts were very happy and full that evening :)

Driving into the parking lot at the Corcoran Egg Hunt.  It was a very busy, yet well organized event.

On the short walk to the egg hunt!

The kiddos were very excited!

The egg hunt was spread out over three ball fields divided by age group.  I took Tyler to the 0-2 field and Ben took Chelsea to the 3-5 group.

This is a picture of the goodies spread out all over the outfield.  The kids weren't actually searching for eggs but for unwrapped candy and juice boxes.  The treats were really great and so much more than just wrapped up little chocolate treats!

We all lined up and waited for the egg hunt to start!

There were a couple key goodies that Tyler had his eyes on before the whistle blew for us to start.  He was a very good boy and didn't pick anything up.  BUT - he 'beat the system' but nonchalantly kicking a few of the close items next to each other right in front of where we were standing :)

The three items he hoarded in front of us so he could pick them up right away!

"egg hunt" time!

A video of Tyler during the egg hunt!

Tammy!

Tyler hit the jackpot during the hunt!  He LOVES juice boxes and ended up with 5 :)

Easter Sunday!  We met my family at the Holiday Inn Buffett.  It was really yummy!

Tyler!

Tyler's food!  He only ate a few bites, but it was fun to put a bunch of food in front of him to see what he'd choose!

Now it's time to play with water!

We headed over to Joel and Jillian's house after brunch.

Tyler meeting Pip (Alyssa's pet ferret) for the first time!  He LOVED Pip and kept saying "tickle, tickle, tickle!"

Egg hunt time!

Tyler got distracted by a truck!

The kiddos passed out within a couple minutes of leaving Joel and Jillians.  They had a blast!

We stopped by (Uncle Steve's) the cabin.  Steve rearranges the cabin in the winter to make it more heat efficient.  He moves the kitchen into a bedroom and blocks off the regular living room / kitchen.  I was very impressed by his make shift kitchen!  This is normally Chelsea's room in the summer :)

Chelsea hanging out with one of her favorite people in the entire world!

Tyler was so exhausted by the first half of the day he was really crabby when we woke him up.  Steve tried to settle him down for a bit but Tyler still wasn't happy.  Ben had to get back into the car and drive Tyler around for a few minutes so he'd settle down.

He's back!

Tyler found a tape measure and was happy :)

I can't wait to be sitting on this deck very soon!

Ben's Grandparents live in Lowry.  Lowry is only 15 minutes from Steve's.  We decided to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Fisher before heading home.  It was SO great to see them and we really wish we could've stayed longer.

Looking at some old wedding photos!

There isn't much better than Grandma's cookie jar!

AND... some sweet treats from Grandpa!

On the way out both kiddos wanted to hug Grandma and Grandpa A LOT! A typically sweet Minnesota Good Bye!
