First Cabin Visit of the year!

We went to Uncle Steve's cabin in Alexandria for Memorial Weekend.  It's our home away from home :)

The weather and company were perfect.  Unfortunately Tyler had a rough time with sleeping.  He pretty much refused to fall asleep in his pack and play and would only nap on car rides.  We were working hard at getting Tyler to bed until 10pm every night and Ben and Steve drove Tyler around several times for naps.  When Tyler is over tired he is a real peach.  With that said, Chelsea wouldn't go to sleep until Tyler did so we had two over tired kids a lot of the weekend.  As soon as Tyler went to sleep I pretty much went to bed with Chelsea each night because I was so exhausted.

We struggled a bit and weren't able to do everything that we wanted, but still had a great time!  Without Steve's help, we would've had total meltdowns.  Thank goodness for the extra, caring, set of hands.  I'll talk more about the weekend with picture captions!

We also were able to see my family a couple of times during the weekend.  I took pictures but they are on my phone so I'll post those pictures on a future blog.

#1 task of the weekend:  Getting the 'jail' set up on the deck for our little monkey's safety

Playtime!

Chelsea wasn't far from Steve's side for most of the weekend

Our lift wasn't barged in until Saturday so Tyler had to settle for driving the boat on the trailer the first day :)

A video showing Chelsea enjoying the cabin on the first day!

No baby proofing here!  Tyler discovered the pots and pans pretty quickly

Chelsea exhausted watching cartoons

Mina and Molly chilled in these chairs for the majority of the weekend.

Our lift was delivered early on Saturday (from storage).  Ben immediately wanted to put the boat in.  Here is a picture of him driving the boat after the first launch of the season!

I'm not surprised.  Tyler always finds something to climb on

Unfortunately we forgot tyler's booster seat at home, so he had free reign during meals.  Talk about unintentionally creating bad habits!

Measuring the kiddos!  We started this two years ago!

Ben loves taking pictures of me prepping food!

Playtime!

Silly girl!

Silly boy!

Tyler being pushed in the wheel barrow and Chelsea in the stroller.  These kiddos have the men wrapped around their little fingers!

We may not be able to canoe with the kiddos quite yet, but it works as a play area!

The dogs messing up the neatly organized kiddo clothes!

More food!

 Crazy hair!

Horseshoe pits = perfect sandboxes!

Icky!

Steve bringing in dinner off the grill on Saturday!

This was a normal scene each night.  I rocked Tyler for awhile to get him nice and drowsy (around 8/9 pm) and Ben would take him in to the room and sing to him until he passed out hard enough to set down into the pack n play.

Watching Disney movies at the cabin around 9pm... this is a first!

Steve walking tyler around in the stroller to keep him happy during a fussy over tired time

A video of Chelsea playing hide and seek with daddy while Steve pushes a crabby Tyler around in the stroller

Fun on the boat!  Both kiddos did great on the boat!

Can you tell Tyler is over tired?!

These plastic watering cans have been a hit with Chelsea for years!  It's fun to see Tyler love them as well.

Mama, you know how to drive the boat?!

Tyler didn't let me drive for long

Steve, once again, helping us out with Tyler!

Ben's grandparents (they live in Lowry) came over to visit for awhile on Sunday afternoon.  Molly took an instant liking to Grandpa Fisher!

Are you my great grandma?  I like you!

Chelsea would glue herself to Steve if possible!

Bubbles!

A video of bubble fun!

Goofy girl!

A video of Chelsea dancing to her new favorite song!  I'll give you a hint about what song it is... mama is very proud :-)

Here's your Old Mil!  Can I have some???

More crazy hair!

And more food!
