A little of this, a little of that

Here are some random pictures that didn't seem to fit into any of my other California blogs. some of the pictures were taken on my phone and those are a little distorted again. I'm going to have to sit down and figure out why this is happening lately.

Chelsea demanded that I take a picture of her... so I did :)

Ben and I had a day / night away just the two of us. We went to a casino / hotel on tuesday afternoon and came home Wednesday late morning. we didn't go to gamble (even tho we did play some slots!) but went to lounge by the pool, eat dinner and hang out just the two of us. It is the first time we have both been away since Tyler was born, so this Ben and Trisha relaxation is long overdue. Times like these are a rarity in our book.

I'm not a huge fan of actual alcohol and have been trying to get away from drinking Beer since it's full of wheat / gluten. I thought a mandarin absolute / soda drink would be tasty. Nope.. wasn't a fan.

We sat by the pool for about 2 -3 hours. Unfortunately it never crossed our minds that we could actually get burned since it was such a short amount of time, it was only in the low 80's and we just weren't thinking. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb! We both FRIED ourselves! It took over a week for the burn / itching to go away. I can't remember the last time I've burned myself like this. Thank goodness we put sunscreen on our faces.

Poolside relaxation. I can't believe there was ever a time that I took times like this for granted. Being able to read a magazine, sit by the pool and pretty much do nothing for several hours is such a luxury.
